November 16th - Community Based Model for Cancer Prevention Speaker on Campus

Dr. Karen Patricia Williams will visit our campus on Thursday, November 16th to deliver the inaugural presentation for our Cutting Edge research series.  Dr. Williams is the Distinguished Professor of Women's Health, and Director of the Center for Women, Children, and Youth at the College of Nursing, The Ohio State University.  She has developed the  Kin KeeperSM  Model for cancer prevention, a health advocacy model that involves community, family, and health care providers working together.  Dr. Williams currently serves as a member of the Nursing initial review group (IRG) of the National Institutes of Heath.
